The movie became "School for good and evil: Agatha and Tedros, ft. Rafal and Sophie" instead of "School for good and evil: Agatha and Sophie". Sarah Hyland is perfect to be Sophie judging her skills in a series she starred.
The book is about 2 sisters entering the school and not the cliche love story where a girl ends up with a boy. That's what the writer wanted. It's a beginner book for kids without having to read many kissing scenes from typical teen adult fiction books.
The cute and beautiful moments Agatha and Sophie had when Agatha always mogrified to help Sophie with her studies were vital in showing the love and goodness Agatha have.
The scriptwriter and director shouldn't have get scenes from all of the books and make it a one movie. IF YOUR ACTORS CANT ACT ESPECIALLY THAT AGATHA ACTRESS THEN REPLACE HER. ALL SHE DID WAS SHOUT AND NO EMOTIONS WERE SHOWN.
As always, being a villain is always the easy role, but being the good character is hard for some actors and actresses to do. If you can't pay for those big actors and actresses, you should've waited for the right time in looking for a better actress.
First of all, Professor Sader is THE MOST IMPORTANT character in the book because he's the person who guided Agatha throughout the book. He was like a FATHER to her. And where was Merlin in the picture? SCRATCHED OFF THE MOVIE.
Second, getting all scenes from all of the books, you could've just made a SERIES instead of a MOVIE to include every important scene.
The painting of Tedro's mother which was a way of teleportation.
The bridge where Agatha uses to cross the school for Evil which is VITAL to the story.
Robinhood and the gang.
Merlin's hat where you can be inside to see the universe.
The underground council members which were graduates from their own tales.
The black cat who is the leader of the cat family which their "people" were mice.
The evil Twins.
Everything and everyone has been removed from the movie.
I was so happy because the woman from "The Hunstman" movie was part of the film and she's a villain, but the directors and scriptwriters just ruined her reputation as well as the book and the Writer himself which is Soman Chainani.
Let me write this down for once:
THE BOOK BECAME WELL-KNOWN BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF THE ORDINARY FAIRY TALES WHICH IS GOOD FOR ALL AGES SINCE IT HAS MINIMAL ADULT SCENES. You won't be able to make a masterpiece of a film if you don't follow the footsteps of the writers of Narnia and Harry Potter which they insisted in following what's written in the books and not the egos of the scriptwriters and directors who only knows profit that never understands the reason why a book is LOVED BY MANY.
If you can't have a great actress who will play as Agatha, you could've just waited for the right time. The actress of Agatha in the film seems like she doesn't want herself to be seen as an ugly person, if she can't sacrifice her image for the role, she doesn't deserve the role.
Getting high-paid actresses won't make the movie do good when it comes to profit because at the end of the day, if the characters are sabotaged, no high-paid actors and actresses won't be able to help to bring in more profit.
Note: if you're too scared for the popularity of the book to fade, it's greed, and greed ruins everything. This film is a good example of greed gone bad.
