I guess if you never read the books this will be a fantastic series. It feels like they spend so much time perfecting the world and scenes that they completely disregarded the story line. I was very exited when the series was announced, I felt this would be the easiest series ever to bring to life as the author Robert Jordan gave so much detail a monkey could direct this. I read the series twice since 2019 so it is really frustrating to see that they changed the story so much especially when they added plots that makes no sense. The selection of the cast fits the characters in the book. Loial and Lan was a bit disappointing, Loial looked nothing like the distribution in the book and Lan showed too much emotion. The are many disappointments in the series but I must applaud them for adding the scene of Tigraine Mantear (Rands mother) as a maiden of the spears showing the strength of the Aiel women. This was probably the best part of series despite not being part of the original book.
