Have been watching Hope Street for a while and although it is not a big crime tv show, I enjoyed its pace. Characters are relatable. I have even been promoting the show to friends and family. Then this week I decided to start watching season 4 and my admiration for the show went downhill... not one, not two... but 8 characters of the series were chopped from the new season. As I'm watching, I'm thinking I'm not watching the first episode but a latter one because I can't recognize many faces... In retrospect I realize that this has been done before. Characters have disappeared from one season to the next with little explanation... Needless to say, I'm done with Hope Street.

I sew the 1983 version and it was funny and interesting. Asides from the overacting, the plot was interesting. I was so happy to see a newer version and i gave it a try but it was aweful. A dog is more spy savvy than the couple in this new version. The first three episodes were so long. I stayed watching waiting for the thrilled moment and it never come.

Waste of my time. The pace of the story moves very slow. It takes a while to know the characters and to know their relevance. Many times I felt like "pulling the plug" and end it. And after the third episode I decided to go to the last episode. Best decision ever. The father was constantly belittleling his daughter and son. At the end everything changed. Wasted hours for a story that could have been told in an hour movie.
