Amazing game! Binge played it to completion when it was released. Played through on hard mode afterwards which is much more strategic. Each run through took a little over 50 hrs. And there is about 10 hrs of end of game material as well. Everything from graphics, voice acting, action based combat, and choreography is top notch. Only minor complaints about a texture here and there which may be due to program error and camera control issues during battle from time to time which can be partially mitigated by adjusting the camera distance to max. Some people have given it a lower rating (in my eyes) because of an added story element that I wasn’t too fond of myself but had to be included to offer the creative team a little bit of leeway. What they do with that leeway will play out in the next couple of installments (this is Midgar only). So as implied, this is not a one for one reproduction of the original. And some changes may have major implications down the line. I am of the crowd that sees this a positive change. Can’t wait for the next release. This is a must play for fans of the Final Fantasy series. And it is an excellent introductory piece for those new to the series.
