It looks beautiful. The animation is top notch. The character acting is really well done. It has a cozy feel. The FX are really well done.
The problem with this family film is when trying to make a Christmas classic; if you include today's social, political and cultural memes it dates it very quickly and in many years people will look back at it and laugh or roll their eyes at the agenda driven messaging or be confused at what they mean. Also the mockery of the nativity scene in a Christmas movie is really in bad taste.
Second they show that the kids watch "love actually" Every year, which is not an appropriate movie for kids to watch as there is a stand in sex scene for rehearsal of porn.
I wish they kept the social politics out of it and kept it wholesome and it would have been a Christmas classic.
