Better than the movie, as of time of writing we only have season 1 but season 2 is in production and I am excited for it. I'm not mad about the characters not matching their book descriptions. I think it adds a lot more to them, along with some of the alterations they made to the story. The author Rick Riordan was actually involved with production this time I like how Ares made Annabeth and Percy leave Grover behind as collateral to ensure they'd come back. I like how Percy didn't make it in time for the solstice which led to Poseidon having to step in to save him. I like how they had Annabeth witness everything that happened between Percy and Luke. I like how they included Hermes in the Lotus Hotel. Excited to see where else the series takes us a little sad that we probably won't get Heroes of Olympus All Things Considered but who knows. In conclusion if you want to get into Percy Jackson but you don't want to read the books this is a much better alternative then the movies.

This movie is terrible. Anyone who says it is good has not read the book. As someone who had to watch this movie in school before they had read the book I thought it was decent but now after reading the book, it sucks. Unlike other book-to-movie adaptations Harry Potter for example is able stands strong even if you haven't read the books not Percy Jackson just don't watch this movie I will leave a list of reasons that I hate it Reason number one: the plot makes no sense, Reason number two: they changed all of their ages, in the books they're 12 but in this they are 16 Reason number three: even the author hates it, something people need to understand is that JK Rowling had a say in the Harry Potter movies Rick Riordan had pretty much no say on what happened in this movie Reason Number fore: where is Clarisse, they cut her out completely and she is a very important character they honestly just made Annabeth more like Clarisse. If any of you want to indulge in Percy Jackson but don't want to read the book here is a list of options Listen to an audio version of the book they exist Listen to The Lightning Thief Musical it's honestly a more faithful adaptation or just wait for the Disney plus Series to come out and if it has already come out go watch it Also it sounds kind of mean to compare this to Harry Potter but it's one of the most faithful book-to-movie adaptations I can think of. In conclusion I would rather play poker with smelly Gabe than watch this movie. Now I will say this. I honestly just wish the cast was younger. That's it I have no problems with them not matching their book descriptions to a T my only problem with the cast is that they wish they were younger.
