This movie pokes some badly needed parody at really bad horror movies and some "stars" like Michael Jackson. Drew Mikuska stole this movie, I never laughed so hard at his expressions. However I was sorry to see that it badly depicted blacks and black culture.

This is one of the best movies from a King novel. I watch it every time it comes on. It builds a palpable tension and I find the premise nightmarish.

Saw this for the first time (7/2019) and had to know how it was filmed. The tsunami scenes are ungodly real. Tom Holland gave a riveting performance, the best I've seen since Christian Bale in "Empire of the Sun." This is the epitome of how people can be suddenly affected by natural disasters. All I can add is "wow!" and a big "whew!"

In 2017, after "Midnight Special," the remade "It" was released, and Jaeden Lieberher grew right into the "Billy" role. I look for big things from this young man. To me the FX in "Midnight Special" were mind-blowing. The movie stretched my mind and made me think. Good SiFi isn't dead!

A horrific and beautiful movie that left me in tears. Unbelievable performance by Christian Bale. In the sum of Steven Spielberg's movies as of 2019, Steven Speilberg is a national treasure.

As I recall, I didn't like King's novel ("Cell"), which is rare for me. This movie had the worst ever ending of a movie...blame the director?
