Pennie Marchetti

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It fails on all levels. The so-called epic battle scenes are basically just excuses for showing gore. There is no context to the battles, and no characters in them to care about. It's like watching a video game. Some say the battle scenes suffer because this is really a love store. I love a good love story, even a tragic one, but this is not even that. I could forgive the historical inaccuracies if they were in service to a good story, but there is no good story here. There's no story at all. It's like spending two and a half hours watching a wooden puppet march across a timeline, with the puppet occasionally stopping to sodomize another wooden puppet. I am extremely disappointed that I believed the reviews I read in the mainstream media and spent money and time watching this. It deserves zero stars.
