Thoroughly enjoyed the movie on many dimensions. No, it's history. No, it's politics. No, it's business. No, it's cinema. Actually it's all of it. I myself lived through half the real story. I never knew that LV Prasad was the one who launched NTR's career. NTR was a hero in his very first movie. I never knew Nageshwar Rao was established much before NTR. Never knew they were best friends. Balakrishna does a brilliant job of the son who plays the role of his own father, NTR. How many of us get to roleplay a parent growing in his career and rearing a family? Well, that another dimension the biopic offers. It transverses across time, across people both the living and the dead and mixes myth, folklore and history. Its challenging for storytellers in a biography to tell all the phases of one's life and build the story of the main character in the short time but the movie successfully does that. It doesn’t race through anything. All phases and milestones of the movie star turned politician are captured so well. I really enjoyed how the real becomes the reel and the reel becomes the real.
