‘A suspense novel usually goes in the following order. There is an occurrence, victims, suspects , motives and then the truth.’
But ‘ The Silent Patient’ reverses the order. It creates a twist when you least expect it. It creates ambiguity in your thoughts when you are absolutely sure of it.
The story keeps you hooked, the characters are depicted so beautifully that you feel you are almost in the story , in their minds.
I started the book this morning and it took me 5 hrs and 10 minutes to read it . ( The 10 minutes I took to digest the inherent plot twist).
As an avid reader of thriller novels , when I started this book I was quite sure what I was expecting. Along the story, I was finding clues for myself to be even more sure. But just when I chose to accept the unexpected, it caught me off guard and made me come to a conclusion , that this is by far one of the best thriller, dynamic, suspense novel I have ever read.
