The ending was fine, but overall I didn't enjoy this book. While the 80's nostalgia was fun in the first book, it felt incredibly dull and forced in this one. There's only so many times I can hear the narrator wildly praise yet another John Hughes movie and do anything but roll my eyes.
Additionally, I did not like Wade in this book. He's whiney, selfish, and stubborn.
Overall I wouldn't recommend this. Ready Player One stands on its own.
