For being made for kids, and this being incredibly obvious through the occasional painful joke, this show is great. While I'm not the biggest fan of any of the acting from the kids, I adore their characters, as well as the adults. Every episode is funny, creative, and usually has an amazingly animated sequence I fall in love with. I also love that this show handles really deep issues in ways that anyone, regardless of age, can be invested in. Yeah, there's guilt and love, but how about the episodes that deal Gortimer's problems of having divorced parents? Or how about what's-her-name's anxiety? Or how about the episode where Mel's mom dies, and Mel has to go through the grief? This show is smart, emotional, and overall, a fantastically unsung product. 9/10.
