I love this book. My family is from the Fluvanna/Goochland/Albemarle area. As a young girl in the 1960's my grandmother talked about Sally Hemings and that only light skin blacks were ever allow to work on the property in Monticello. My mother lives on Pan Tops Mountain in Charlottesville, and I love reading about my home back in the day. The details that the author revels is fascinating. Perfect book for any Thomas Jefferson, or early Virginian Historian.
