I am extremely extremely disappointed in this show and even feel a bit disrespected that they would do this to such an important, timeless, ground breaking, mind captivating franchises that has ever existed, it's like a slap in the face to the collective fans, including me. Not one of the characters look like they belong in this world. i'm not talking about race or gender, i'm a brotha myself but idk like even the males they look generic, like they belong in a completely different fantasy universe. Idk the movies characters felt gritty, even the elves were handsome and beautiful but still had a super serious look n they all kind of looked alike. the dwarves look off for some reason even the men, they dont look right. middle earth breeds a certain kind of a man, and peter jackson captured everything about the book so well, so so good. just such a shame. i've been looking forward to this series since 2017, when my first born was about to be born, he is 5 now. like ughh 😩. i'm such a fan of the books and movies, saw the fellow ship in theaters with my sister in 01 when i was 7, two towers and return of the king with my mother in theaters then the first two hobbit movies with my mother the second one being the last movie we ever saw together before she passed, the franchise means a lot to me. my grandma had some great vintage copies of the books in our amazing library of thousands of books growing up n i would read them. then in 2020 listened to the three books as audio before bed for like 2 months n that was some of the best sleep i've had in forever. no video games no tv after work just lotr. can't wait to introduce my son and daughter to the books and movies. Shame on the creators, either fix the show pleeease or take the L, cancel it for good, and use the remainder of the budget to release a solid video game, use the characters if you want, the ones from the show they can do voice acting. I would even prefer to watch a animated series than this BS.
