This show is about industrial and organizational psychology. It focuses on one branch of a family business. The boss takes a sabbatical and leaves his 2IC (second in charge) running the place. When he returns from his sabbatical he needs to allocate resources, which he doesn’t have any longer. He has a meeting with a CEO of another business, they discuss the possibility of a merger but he is not ok with her unethical business practices and decides against it. There are quite a few disgruntled employees and the branch needs to outline and re-define job descriptions, roles and responsibilities. The family isn’t close and some of the heads of the other branches are trying to undermine him. By the end of the season he becomes more comfortable with delegating responsibilities and valuing the input of his employees.
