My husband and just I saw the movie. I almost yelled out a few times in response to some of the women (s)heroic events. It was so inspiring and it mirrored what I know of our women today. Finding the ability to fight for and with others in the community with and unyielding retreat. . The diligence and perseverance ! The heart of a lioness that does not surrender easily. A woman powerhouse ! One that still , while fighting for a right to BE! , finds the strength to fight for her child, her freedoms, yet take that long hard journey to heal herself at the same time ! Whew! These were some beautiful bold women who I’m proud to have inherited one drop of their genetics !
