I have been watching Life Below Zero for many years and actually prefer the “old guard” to the next generation. I absolutely do not like The First Alaskans as people can’t read or understand the language. These people do nothing really different from the “regulars” otherwise. I doubt if this version receives many positive reviews and think it is short lived re reviews and general program ratings. Although I thoroughly enjoy the format and featured people in the older shows as well as Port Protection, I generally switch channels when the First Alaskans air. I also really enjoy the Last Alaskans as in all my favorites, there is not just entertainment, but good information and something to be learned about a tough lifestyle and some history. The First Alaskans is truly a bust!
