8 hours later and my feelings are stronger. Wonder Woman, our hero, makes a super unethical choice throughout the movie. A child is neglected and abandoned throughout the movie making it painful to watch. The storyline is predictable - yet confusing. It feels like it was going for campy - but missed the mark - awkward over acting. Chris Pine’s character doesn’t align with the character from the first film. The secondary villain character has an overplayed storyline that doesn’t resonate - and the transformation at the end is ridiculous even for a superhero movie. Friends - don’t watch Wonder Woman 84. It was truly terrible. Wouldn’t surprise me if Lucasfilm replaces Patty As great as the first WW was - this was 10 times as awful as the first was good. A career destroyer. I feel bad for everyone involved.
