I am a great fan of Sci-Fi and Horror. Sci-Fi's are usually better with their use of special effects. This movie has a good story line, the sets are good and the acting carries the movie well. This movie did well at the box office and that is a good indicator that it was 'GOOD'. The younger generation appeared to like the movie more. That is probably why the film critics did no like it. If a film critic can't be unbiased they should not be critics. This is an outstanding film for the 70's.

I am a film archivist and I have seen many movies ranging from great to pathetic. This movie is good but not great. I have watched it several times and find it enjoyable. It may not be full of jump scares that people want now days but most movies made back then worked more on the story, continuity, etc. Its no good having a movie full of jump scares that has a bad story line (if any). Also, bear in mind, this is an Action/Horror Film and not just a Horror Film. It is an Action Film with a Horror Theme!

So many whingers out there. You can't compare a TV episode to a Feature Length Film. It's like comparing apples and oranges. By the way, it is not supposed to be an Action Film! If you can't follow the story maybe you should spend more time actually watching the film instead of playing with your mobile phone or popping out to the kitchen for a snack! Secondly, the Australian Film Industry is usually poorly funded compare to the USA. Our industry does what it can with the resources available. I think that this film is one of the better locally made films that I have seen recently. Good effort by the cast, crew and everyone else involved with this project.

Just finished watching this movie. The critics are not always right. This may not be the best Stephen King movie ever made but it is a good movie. The official genre may be a bit misleading. It is certainly a Sci-Fi/Horror but there is more of a Drama feel to it. All horror movies don't have to have jump scares every few minutes nor do they need a crazy killer stalking people. The word 'ACTION' does not appear in the genre description so don't expect it automatically. I must admit that the ending was confusing. The guy and his kid should have been killed in the blast but then we see them on the road walking. Then we see the zombies alive again at the tower with no indication of an explosion. Not a good closer!

I love Comedy/Horror films. The better ones get the mix right! This movie has the right mix and the cast are well suited to their roles. This is a very funny film. Some official critics have not been fain in their ratings. They probably don't like this type of movie! This movie, and movies like this, are fun to watch. They are not serious (they are comedies) and in some cases they are parody's of the better know horror film. It takes a good writer to bring this type of movie to life. Having a good director at the helm and a strong cast makes for a good end result. This movie has been well though out, it has had a good director along with a fine cast. Don't pay any attention to the mediocre reviews. Watch this movie. You won't be disappointed!

I have just finished watching the movie and I took the time to read the previous reviews. This is an independent film made on a very low budget!!! I have seen many independent films and this movie is as good as some and better than many. It is not the greatest movie in the world but it is very watchable and entertaining. There was enough horror but a little more action would have helped.

Historical Bio-Dramas can be boring! This movie is far from boring and I believe that it is reasonably historically accurate. War is a terrible thing but movies like this remind us of the bad times and people's courage and their will to survive. Maybe more movies like this should be made available for people to see. Many modern movies seem to concentrate more on the action but have little real substance (a good story line). Gregory Peck and the others do a sterling job at bringing this movie to life.

A great parody movie. Very funny. The role reversal making the country guys the innocent ones and the college kids the bad ones was a fun idea that worked. Anyone who does not like this movie does not have a good sense of humour.

THIS MOVIE IS A PARODY!!!! It is a comedy based on other movies (obviously). This movie is one of the best parodies I have seen for a long time. If it was done as a serious movie, without the comedy, it may still have worked. The script was very simple and fun. It was not intended to be a serious movie. A good effort. Well done.

I have read the previous reviews and they go from great to bad! This is definitely not and 'A' movie but it isn't as bad as some make out. Having an attractive petite girl in the lead role is good. The 4 guys had no idea what she could do. You don't have to be a bulky, muscular a body builder to be fit and strong. Look at females who do martial arts. They are not all built like amazons. The story line is basic and could have done with a little more character building and some back stories. Not the best movie I've ever seen but it is certainly not the worst. I recommend that people watch it and make up their own minds on it
