Natalie Portman's stunning performance carried the majority of this film, as did the incredible cinematography, music, choreography and performances by the other actors.

As much as people are calling this over-hyped, I urge you to go see this movie and judge for yourself. I love the animated version with all my heart, because as a young Chinese child, it was amazing to see Chinese representation in Disney when I was young. Initially, I didn't have high expectations for this movie, but after seeing the changes it made from the original, I can honestly say that I am very impressed. Also Xian Lang's character arc was amazing. TL;DR : This movie was lit.
