Great, great read. Author tells gripping story of gradual, but undeniable, revelation of Nazi regime's brutal suppression and antisemitic policies. He captures the harrowing truth learned by the U.S. ambassador's family in Berlin between 1933 and Hitler's "night of the long knives," and its aftermath. But even more intriguing, the story is told through the eyes of ambassador's promiscuous daughter, who engaged with numerous regime officials and other powerful men. I highly recommend.
