As a genealogist I get annoyed that such tenuous links are followed with no proof of connection. Often the producers don't say how someone is related which is frustrating. If someone is 25% Ashkenazi jew for example, surely they can follow the paper trail to find that (likely) grandparent or were there privacy issues The whole format is rather naff with the stagey set-up.and fake push button.
