The adaption from book to stage has been done beautifully. A fitting tribute to Shakespeare and his family, the RSC have created a play in the style of Shakespeare. The loss of a child, couples living apart due to work and family commitments and the complexity of family backgrounds, are recurring themes throughout the centuries.
