I love Matthew M. and thus watched the film. I found it disappointing and perplexing. The characters were largely "flat"...but perhaps that is because they were in a game "matrix-like". At least that was indicated after the viewer suffered through the strange story line. You do get to see Matthew M. swimming nude!
