If i'm being totally honest the information on this page is true If you want to know what the burden was about to Kipling I believe that According to Kipling, it was the "White Man's Burden" of the European countries to spread civilization, Religion, and industry to the inhabitants of their colonies throughout the non-Western world. Also Some Europeans felt that it was their responsibility to help "civilize" the "savage" inhabitants of colonial land in order to make them more "modern" and European. British novelist and poet Rudyard Kipling, for example, displayed such attitude in his 1899 poem entitled "The White Man's Burden", the first stanza of which is displayed if you look up the Burdens Qoute.
