Sean Russell – Google

Overall 3.5-4 stars for a film that ticks all the boxes when it comes to cinematography, acting (for the most part), drama/suspense, CGI, & exploring something we may see play out in the future of warfare/policing. The movie would've been strengthened if 20min had been trimmed from it. I wanted to give this 5 stars. Annoyances: Neal McDonough covers his face with his hands several times which disconnected me from him as a character. His explosions of rage got old, too. Dead guy, the kid's dad, obviously breathing. Poor edit. Cute kid wasn't able to convincingly cry.

The film is well done, with some really cool moments (seeing/hearing Stryper totally surprised me). Will definitely buy this film just for this cameo. I wanted to love this film, but felt the film was a bit uneven, and not all scenes were equal. But there are scenes that moved me, that made me think, and that caused me to reflect on my own life. The actress that played mom (Daisy Betts) was really well performed and held the film together. I wasn't so sold on the father's performance (Joel Smallbone) which seemed a bit too dour & somewhat wooden? The kids' performances were okay. Overall 4.5 stars. Not quite as good as "I Can Only Imagine" or "The Case for Christ".
