Tracey Hawthorne

I didn't expect to, but I enjoyed this movie. Joey King and Zac Efron are very funny, and even Nicole Kidman isn't completely unbearable. There's enough plastic surgery between Efron and Kidman to practically build a new person, but Efron is so good at ripping himself off (as a famous movie star playing a famous movie star) that it's kind of forgivable in his case. Kidman looks like a praying mantis - she needs a good chicken dinner.

I really wanted to like this film but it was just terrible. Giant plot holes and choppy editing were big problems but it was also unoriginal and illogical, the characters were unidimensional and unsympathetic, and the pacing was uneven.
