I recently watched "Kill" but unfortunately, it failed to impress. Despite attempts to add emotional depth through romance and revenge, the execution felt shallow. The romance was particularly disappointing, feeling rushed and forced. A more compelling approach would have been a mystery-driven opening, hinting at a second train robbery and the hero's quest for vengeance.
Furthermore, logical inconsistencies marred the viewing experience. Questions lingered, such as why the affluent family chose train travel over flying, and how the commandos continued fighting despite severe injuries and blood loss. Additionally, the antagonist's casting didn't convince, as the actor's physical appearance and age didn't align with the character's supposed strength and brutality.
Overall, "Kill" felt incomplete and lacking in polish. Tighter storytelling, nuanced character development, and attention to logical detail could have elevated this movie into a gripping thriller. As it stands, fans of revenge thrillers may want to consider alternatives like "Taken" or "The Equalizer" for more satisfying experiences.
