I just watched Kunal Kemmu's first directorial film, and I gotta say, it's a really funny one! Even though the theater was empty, I dont know whats the matter with audience response but it's good to watch film with friends. It's been a long time since Bollywood made a comedy this good. I didn't even see the trailer before, but I'm happy I went in without knowing much because it turned out to be better than I expected.
If Bollywood had made Hangover, it would have looked something like this film.
The actors did a great job, especially Divyenndu and Pratik Gandhi. They were really funny. Avinash Tiwary did well too, but he kind of got overshadowed by Divyenndu and Pratik. As for Nora, her role seemed more about looking good than anything else.
Yeah, the movie isn't perfect, but it's not trying to be. It's just a good, honest comedy that doesn't make you cringe. Overall, I left the theater feeling pleasantly surprised and reminded that there's still a lot of fun to be had in comedy movies.
Note: comedy is subjective thing
