Mfs talking about "not realistic in the slightest".... to the people who say that, you must be severely retarded. This movie's biggest plot point is that the cosmonaut befriends a giant alien spider. Why is anyone talking about realism, when that isn't at all what the film is trying to be?
I've seen some comments call the movie a "space psychological thriller" and such. I've seen others say it's a "space exploration adventure without any fuel". What part of this conveys the genre title of "thriller" in the slightest? What part of this conveys this is an "exploration adventure" at all?
A whole lot of people thinking they can review movies but don't have the slightest clue what a character study is.
Of course I'm not saying this movie is perfect, there are really few "perfect" movies (or anything for that matter), there are times that I find Jakub to be a little Holden Caulfield-ish, times that I find him annoying for being too guarded and selfish often, but I am not this character. There are real people who put their walls up too high like this. I find my best friend to be like this sometimes. If you really believe that some people aren't like this, then you need more life experience, or need to meet more people.
While Jakub's main priority for about 80% of the movie is getting to the Cloud beyond Jupiter, that isn't what the movie is about at all. There are really only 3 characters in this. Jakub, Hanus, and Lenka. The rest are simply there to advance the plot and give snippets of friction in the story.
Of course introspective movies aren't everybody's thing (hell probably not even the majority's), but this movie is simply an attempt at something that's just not meant for you. That isn't a bad thing. I can't stand cheesy action movies, or remakes/reboots. I'm not a fan of musicals or Sports movies. But I can say I certainly enjoyed what this movie had to ask of me
