I never thought I would like musicals because of all the singing and dancing, but La La Land was different. I understood the emotions connecting between Mia and Sebastian and their own passions and relationship. The movie relates to the hardships of the real world by focusing on subjects like rejection and the struggle to chase your dreams. I was able to feel the characters' own frustrations and ambitions. It was bittersweet, but it inspired me to not give up on life and my goals, and it helped me to also appreciate the setbacks of the journey to reach my goals.
