Visually stunning. Artistically creative. A great story. Great acting. Simple, yet deep. Lots of layers and literary references to art, film, and mythology. Edgy. Fun. Weird. Tremendous film.

Every word, scene, and costume design is beautifully executed. This was every bit a Disney movie with an authentic edginess that made it one of the better films I have seen in awhile. Perhaps the best. Love. Madness. Friendship. And, of course, cruelty along with some 70’s punk rock. Delightful.

They did an amazing job of bringing the nolstagic 80’s and “Daniel-san” America back to life. Great casting just like the original movie. Storyline is perfect.
