While I applaud Shaymalan's daring attempt on an original edition to the increasingly self-aware superhero genre, 'Glass' seems to fall flat with muddled storytelling that is both confusing and frustrating. Confusing, because the movie jumps indecisively from Nolan-esque suspense, to outright goofy moments, to overlong, tepid action sequences. Frustrating, because all this severely undercuts the thought-provoking themes M.Night was trying to explore. "Glass" isnt bad, but it definitely could've been better if the second act (which I found to be the most unbearable portion of the movie) had been better utilized.
