Hans Matheson (as Yuri Zhivago) was superb and very convincing. However for me, Kiera Knightley (as Lara) was underwhelming and I was not at all convinced by her performance. The on screen chemistry with the gorgeous Yuri simply wasn't there. I would have liked to seen the the superb actress who played Tonya as Lara instead of Knightley as felt there was a real connection between her and Yuri. Overall I found it a poor interpretation of Boris Pasternak's sensuous, poetic and romantic novel. I would sincerely recommend instead, the 1965 Film of the same name with Omar Sharif and Julie Christie.
