I didn’t read the book, but I really enjoyed this series from the beginning to the end. It may not be very faithful or not faithful at all to the original work, but if it manages to touch the feelings and convey a message of humanity, its value is demonstrated to me. In my view, there were some exaggerations in certain characters and events. But the main characters gave their all, and the two protagonists, both her and him, are sublimely tender and charming.
And as if entertaining and moving weren't enough, this series shows the new generations, most of whom will not read a book in their lives, what has been the most horrendous scourge in the history of humanity: Fascism. It does so in the style of a fairy tale like "Life is Beautiful," but it does. Forbidden to forget!
Hopefully, a second season, and anyone who wants to read the book can do so.
