I was confused in the beginning and a little in the end, but it left me wanting to know more of what happened. I kind of got the lesson or moral of it, but I’m still getting an understanding of the book. I wish she explained more about soaphead church and more about how Pecola and her mother felt. I also like the way the characters talked, the old words and grammar used.

The book was a cool read. It wasn’t too much going on, but just enough to keep you interested. I did hope for more at the ending, but I guess I’ll just let my mind wonder.
