I think Five Nights at Freddy's is a great film adaptation of the video game series, though I've never played the games nor even heard of them before this movie. For a horror movie with a PG rating, it was surprisingly decent. The kills and jump scares were actually well done, and I'm glad it wasn't too gory like slasher films. A horror movie doesn't need to be all blood, guts, and whatnot to be scary. The characters interacting with the animatronics, building the fort scene was extertaining given that the ghosts are little kids being kids just like they would be if they were still alive. Though, I would've liked a better explanation of how the villain of the movie is able to influence the ghosts to do evil things, and that it sort of glossed over that the villain killed the brother of the protagonist. The pacing of the movie to me was also good, it didn't rush anything, and it didn't drag on for too long either.
