Very impressed with Pierce Brosnan, and a fascinating insight into the life of a war veteran living in an uncomprehending world. Some poignant moments: meeting the SS veteran; the welcome home.

A great film about how chance and circumstance steer lives. Also how we reflect and assess the paths we have followed as we near death. Great acting, and the subject matter warrants its three hours plush length. Glad I saw it in a cinema.
