No Spoilers ** The reason this was given 4 stars by me because of the reason I watched was not for myself. This was a good old school like "horror" monster movie to watch with my 10 year old son. He enjoyed it and it was a perfect mix of jump scares and action. The monster wasn't revealed till end of movie which im a big fan of. Without Spoilers, the monster scenes that showed parts of the creature where great and the CGI monster at end was disappointing but was fun for my son. The story was mediocre, and I had a hard time believing that the towns people would treat the main character like they did. If you want to introduce your kid to creature features think is a good movie to start.

* No Spoilers * Well executed movie. Does a great job of putting you in the minds of the characters. It's hard to classify some movies as horror or thriller/drama. My wife would classify it as horror as I'm more on the side of thriller/drama. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I thought on of the main scenarios/ event in movie was opposite of what that character would do. The movie builds up beautifully without wasting to much time. The climaxe is well executed and ends when it should. This is not the movie I expected to watch but am glad I did.
