I watched the first film about a dozen times, and I couldn't wait to watch the sequel. The day it came out, I isolated myself in my room to watch it so no one would interrupt me, I was super excited. I FINALLY watched the movie... and was very disappointed. I've read the book series twice, and the second movie did not do the second book any justice. The whole movie felt rushed. There was less interaction between the family- which was a big reason why I loved the first one so much- and the movie didn't push me to want Peter and LJ together. It actually made me realize how much of a toxic relationship they have. I also want to point out that the scene where LJ starts lip-syncing in the hall is very weird and unnecessary. I've only re-watched the second movie once- and I don't plan on watching it again :(

I was going to boycott watching this show when I first saw the trailer because I grew with the movies and they were such a big part of my childhood, I was afraid it would ruin the movies for me. But after watching the first two episodes, I was hooked. There are some cheesy parts in the show, but I think it makes it better. I love seeing real teenagers playing teenagers. The love story between Nini and Ricky is so pure, you just want to yell at the screen whenever they are about to kiss but don't. The characters go through real world situations, like divorce, moving, and not fitting in. It's relatable and I think that's why so many teens are watching this show. We are seeing how everyone goes though the same things during this awkward and hard stage of our lives. You should definitely watch this show. Plus, Joshua Bassett... JOSHUA freaking BASSETT... :)
