It's almost there, somewhere, maybe in an older version of the script, or in cut footage, there was a good movie. Chris and Tessa basically are trying to recreate what they did in Ragnarok and are the most memorable part of the film. However some things just feel off. Despite the film delving deep into them, they don't feel that well developed, their backstories are bare bones, whereas the movie spends way too much time on awkward jokes.
Basically, it's not bad, no bad acting, no confusing plot, no bad special effects, it's all competent, but it's also not good. It just feels like with better editing this could've been a surprisingly good movie.
