Spoilers: This multi-part series was a nightmare of way too many stories at once that didn’t allow for tension or suspense with what I thought was the main plot (the mysterious neighbors). 1) the main character’s visions 2) the girlfriend’s past traumas, 3) the possibly schizophrenic or psychic mother, 4) the bitter ex-wife, 5) the kids’ abandonment issues, 6) the sons’ night terrors or premonitions or schizophrenia, 7) the sus neighbors ridiculous back story, 8) the visions of the murder squad coming for the neighbors! And besides all of that, there were near hours on end where characters were just talking through stories! They ran out of film there was so much nonsense going on!

Cast was excellent. Maybe a bit disconnected with the trial interspersed. I do think it could have been done well in 21/2 hours—some scenes could have been cut back without loss of storyline or character arc— the Florence Pugh scenes. More of Oppenheimers back story would ha e helped defined what drove the character other than his intellect. It was a very good story and for the most part kept the momentum up and the viewer drawn in.
