I know this show is well aged now but I just have to write a review in hopes that someone of the cast might see this and be proud. This will always be the show that stands as my pinacle of top notch first class acting. The characters from the main down to the supporting are a shining example of what anyone in the acting profession should strive to be. Honestly this show is crafted so well from the direction through to the acting and into the wardrobe and all aspects of production. You can tell that everyone involved put their absolute best effort forward to make this a world class drama series. I can't point to a single artist in this show that didnt hit an absolute grand slam. Mark Antony when he learns of Cleopatra's death! Vorenus when he smashes Concord and declares himself a son of hades! Vorenus when he calls out 13 and saves Pullo from execution! Brutus walking into the pond and starting his life a new. Atia and Pullo and how well they portrayed a constant unwavering personality the entire series. Pompey and his aging declining authority. To many specific examples of acting perfection to name all here. All playing their part to almost perfection. Take note all young actors and actresses, THIS is what you should stive for when taking on a role. Hats off to the cast and crew of this magnificent example of what a television show can be. Thank you all for your fine efforts in bringing us this epic show.

Well iv watched the entire season so I can write my review without guilt. This show was completely underwhelming. Thats the best word to describe it. Underwhelming. From start to finish they try forcing deep deep meaning into every blooming second of the show. They tried SO hard to have a deep impact of emotion and personal investment that it just became incredibly annoying. Each conversation was some forced breathy blather of an exchange. Where is the humer, and other balancing dialogue? Each scene was just ramming down my throat some uninspiring attempt at intense dramatic impact that just kept falling flat because there was so much of it. So much of the casting I think they just flat out got wrong. Gandolf was spot on but aside from him the other characters just didn't line up very well. Nothing against the actors I just think they weren't cast or directed well. The one thing the show got right was to stay away from cgi. If you guys make another season I suggest reviewing any of the past movies and Tolkien's work a bit closer. There is a balance of emotion and humor and intensity which makes it entertaining.
