This movie is all around bad, from Nicole Kidman’s half-Australian/half-American accent to George Clooney’s false bravado and everything in between. The director tries to create drama by having our heroes speak in staccato outbursts while hurriedly walking through every scene but there are so many ludicrous events—Russians letting U.S. attack helicopters cruise through their airspace with virtually no consequence; our dynamic duo given free reign in every situation and in every corner of the globe; nuclear bombs going through customs security undetected— the only suspense created is will our leads finally start a romance or not?
