I didn‘t watch the original but this was… weird. Weird storyline (why no real happy end?) and personally way to scary and strage witches like straight out of my nightmare. 2 stars because I liked the quality but thats it. Bad story, good quality. If you want to know what happens (I will explain in 3 sentences): There are a boy and very scary witches who hate children and they turned the boy into a mouse. Then the boy and his grandma try to save him, without success and then they turn the witches into mice. Thats it. He stays a mouse and lives happily with his grandma until the end of his life.
