SPOILERS!! Again, there’s Spoilers Anyway So this horror film was really good. What I don’t really like is some of the characters. We focus at first on a girl named Sarah. Learn her life story, some tragic accident yada yada, but as they dive deeper in the cave she’s kinda stupid. And one of the characters regrettably did kill a friend but not on purpose. It was like halfway through the movie they tried to make her evil. She really wasn’t, just someone fighting for themselves. The thing is, what I don’t understand is the part where Sarah suddenly becomes all violent despite being so fragile in the beginning and whatever. She loses the person closest to her (the one the girl killed by accident) and I’m not going to lie she was kind of a jerk anyway so I didn’t really mind her dying. Now I felt that Juno had way more screen time than the main character which is crazy bc again, Sarah’s the main character. Honestly, film could've focused on another person and It would’ve felt the same. Juno was literally the only one with actual personality, the rest were just bland including Sarah. But if we get past that part, the concept is really cool and Very nice scenes so 10/10 on that.

This was the absolute worst horror movie I have ever watched. The script was awful, the plot was awful, it seems the director thought, hmm what’s scary? Blood. And that’s it. The actions by the characters make no sense and has you screaming at them asking what the hell they’re doing. The acting was okay, although I believe really only the mom was the only decent one. The younger one especially wasn’t very good and the two siblings were college drama club level at best. I didn’t even know evil dead was a whole series before I read some of the other reviews but I’m sure not to watch any of them now considering how garbage this film is. I had to ask myself, is this a joke, mid way through because of how terrible it was. I genuinely asked myself if this movie was satire because of all the cliches. So predictable and so horrible. The only good thing about this movie was the budget spent on makeup but I’d rather have seen it actually put into something productive like the acting or the script. The beginning scene made absolutely no sense and I have no idea what it had to do with the rest of the film. I really hope whoever wrote this, whoever directed it doesn’t go back to the horror genre because obviously this is not their most talented path. Same with the actors. Maybe best they stick with teen drama or something.
