I'm a white man who has had the unusual experience of having lived in a nearly all black part of a large city as well as in racially mixed suburbs, and in the mostly white sticks. From my personal experience, white people are the least racist group there is. Most White people don't even have a racial conscience, though they're quickly gaining one. In fact there's so little real racism from white people that some find it necessary to make up stories, like Jussie Smollett did. The most racism I've experienced has been from black people towards myself and other white people. Look into Table 43 from the FBI's Uniform Crime Report (Google it) and you'll see who commits the most cross-racial crime. Hint: It's not white people, not even close. I also urge people to look at a website called fakehatecrimes dot org. It's eye opening to people who don't yet understand the reality of race in America.
This book tries to teach white people how they have privilege and how black people are the perpetual victims with no agency. I find this book repulsive. The author seems to think she knows what she's writing about, but to me it's clear she doesn't.
