Aside from a few questionable levels in the last area, My Friend Pedro is an excellent game. Up there with Hotline Miami and Mr. Shifty, MFP is one of those games that puts you in the shoes of a full-on, blood fueled action hero. In this case, your goal is as simple as running, rolling, wall jumping and (most importantly) shooting your way through some simple platforming levels.
The story is nicely implemented, mostly sidelined throughout the game which in this case is good as it lets you get on with the mayhem, however, the ending does tie it all together with a big reveal which allows you to look back at the game as something more than just violent rampaging.
The only bad thing I have to say is that there are (as mentioned above) a few levels towards the end of the game that seem to have lost their way. These levels seem more focused on platforming and puzzling than they do on the shooting which feels a little out of place but at least you can have them done and out of the way soon enough!
