Idc about the cliches/ predictability. I thought the movie was adorable. Definitely at least check it out and form your own opinion. I'd watch a whole little show set in their world like they did with Monsters Inc. and Monsters at Work. Ever since I watched it I've wanted to rewatch it (yes-- right away). I love art, so I love seeing animation. I want to pull out my sketchbook and draw some Elemental inspired art. Idk if they'll make it past sketches, but character design is fun.
