Loved it! I enjoyed reading it a lot. The only problem I have with the book are these (also, spoiler alert):
1. Ethyne and Antain's story was unrealistic in my opinion, you don't just fall in love without talking. Usually if that was the case, the love would have been one-sided.
2. Who was the witch? Sister Ignasia or Xan? Lets say they were both witches, she wasn't described as a witch. Only the people who told the stories did, which is why I found it confusing.
3. I didn't get Glerk at all. What is he?A monster? A swamp? The world? He is probably all of them like he said but that doesn't stop me from getting confused.
4. Did everyone live in the wrecked village all those years ago? Or was there other villages as well that just happened to do nothing about the eruption? Was the village that large?
I got the gist of the story though, I'd really reccomended it. Although the book is quite the bore, I still like it.
